In all seriousness, I agree with what Rob Bell says and that is God can change things we can't but if you are in an abusive relationship, GET OUT NOW! If God can change him while you're getting beaten, he can change him while your in a safe house with a relative or close friend. I would further argue and ask, would many of us posting here open our homes to someone who needed us in this hour of need or would we turn a "blind eye" to the abuse. You’re right that one should exercise judgment in choosing a marriage partner. But must the price of a mistake in that judgment be years of abuse?
