BDW Out of Commission

Aaron would like his friends and readers to know that he will be taking a hiatus from blogging (as he can no longer type). Earlier this evening, a suburban driven by two Baylor students ran a stop sign and hit his car at high speed, totalling it.

After 5 hours at the ER, and numerous x-rays and CT scans, Aaron is now home with a broken left wrist, a strained back, bruises, and a concussion.

His greyhound, Rudy, the lone passenger in the car, is spending the night in the hospital, with minor injuries.

More later.

Well, tell him that I am praying for him. And for Rudy, too. I’ve been there myself.

I hope they had good insurance…

I’m grateful to God Aaron will be okay. I’ll be praying for his smooth recovery.

In Mrs. Macel Falwell’s just-released biography of her late husband, she tells of the unlikely friendship between Jerry Falwell and Jesse Jackson. Upon hearing of one of Falwell’s hospital bouts during his latter years, Jackson called Falwell’s administrative assistant to inquire.

When told Falwell was on a respirator, Jackson is quoted to have said with a chuckle and a promise to pray: “Tell him I said America’s a better place because Jerry Falwell can’t talk.”

Tell Big Daddy I said the Baptist world is a better place because he can’t talk. And that I’m praying for him to hurry back.

Aaron,

I am so sorry to hear of your accident. My wife and I had a bad accident during our days at Baylor. We hit “black ice” one night and ran head on into a light pole on I 35.

I pray you will heal quickly. My these days of healing bring renewed focus and passion to your heart and life.

You are loved.

hey, type one handed. Or with your nose! The nose: It’s for more than breathing!

God speed your recovery. Thank God for the wonderful way He made our bodies, to self heal.
