The Catholic Church remains one of the most unified organizations on the planet. Yet it is still so different from the majority of Protestant churches today. Good post I enjoyed the humor haha.

Um, Dave, what exactly does this post have to do with Southern Baptists? Who brought the SBC into the mix?

I am most definitely not a Southern Baptist and I do oppose the death penalty.

?????

Although, it is worth noting that this current Pope did declare a couple years back that Protestant churches including Southern Baptist churches are not actually churches but in fact mere "ecclesial communities"

Talk about taking a shot at Protestants!

Frankly, I have never heard the Pope say one word about Southern Baptists; it may be that the Pope is secure enough in his theological positions that he does not need to throw mud and behave contrary to the teachings of Christ. Yes, the Catholic Church opposes the death penalty, and most SBCs support it; interesting, the 10 Commandments say "thou shalt not kill." These are reaffirmed in the gospels; yet, the SBC feels it can be flexible. I see- the SBC follows the Bible when it suits them. More and more people are seeing the SBC and the BACs for what they are--dangerous, hate-filled, fear mongerers.
