Did you do any research before writing your comment? Dr. Bill Wagner is a career missionary with the SBC and professor at an SBC seminary. This is not exactly the resume of a liberal or even a moderate.

I know him and he is a good and decent man who happens to have a plan for the SBC rather than continuing the resurgence’s status quo. It is about time the SBC started looking forward instead of back. The battle is already won. Time to get back into the real fight.

As a local pastor, the only thing the SBC provides is a standard of scriptural and doctrinal integrity with which we can align ourselves. Dr. Wagner seeks to change the inertness of the SBC to local church life. His life's ministry emphasis stands on two pillars: Evangelism and Church Growth. He is a refreshing leap out of the box of traditional Baptist thought on how to reach out to the lost and enrich the church. God is in the business of making radical changes, for He is not bound by our traditions - which often become idols - and when He moves it usually rocks our boat.
