Ole Jimmy never gets any credit.

I remember reading Richard Land or some SBC leader saying that George W. Bush was the closest thing to a Baptist that we've had in decades...

I'm glad Brody "got it." But these guys have ZERO memory capacity. He asks when any other presidential candidate gave a personal testimony? Jimmy Carter did--although times were different enough, then, that he had to spend plenty of interviews convincing a skeptical public that he really was going to respect Separation of Church and State and not run the government from the SBC. (Later, the SBC fundamentalists were pissed that he meant what he said and called him a secular humanist!)

Carter even witnessed to the Ambassador from China when he was prez--which resulted in China allowing the importation of Bibles and relaxing some restrictions on Christians.

All props to Obama. And I'm glad someone from CBN "got it." I just get ticked off that the Right never gives Carter any credit at all. They called Reagan, a drunk, twice-divorced actor who never went to church, a "man of faith," but they accused the president who taught Sunday School a "secular humanist." ARRGH!
